WSU leads the all-time series 5-4 against the Aggies after splitting a four-game series Pac-12 Overall with UCD in Pullman in 2008, the last meeting between the two schools. The Cougars will be making their first trip UCLA 0-0 13-2 to Davis since 2007 where the Aggies claimed two in the three-game series. Arizona State 0-0 13-4 USC 0-0 10-5 KYLE MANZARDO NAMED PRESEASON ALL-AMERICAN Arizona 0-0 10-5 Junior first baseman Kyle Manzardo was named to the 2021 Preseason All-America Third Team by Collegiate Washington 0-0 9-6 Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Manzardo, who earned All-American third- Washington State 0-0 9-7 team honors from Collegiate Baseball last season, finished a shorted 2020 season with a .435 batting average Oregon 0-0 8-7 with seven doubles, three home runs, 14 RBI, a .500 on-base percentage and a Pac-12 best 27 hits. The Coeur Utah 0-0 6-7 d’Alene, Idaho native tied for the league lead in doubles, was second in batting average and was fourth in Oregon State 0-0 5-9 slugging (.694) and runs scored (21). Manzardo recorded a hit in all 16 games Washington State played in 2020, California 0-0 5-11 finished the season with five straight multiple-hit games, led the team with nine multiple-hit games and will take Stanford 0-0 5-11 a 17-game hitting streak into the 2021 season, tied for the sixth-longest hitting streak in the program history. Manzardo also earned WSU’s first Pac-12 Player of the Week Award since 2016 following a monster weekend at the plate in the four-game series sweep of Niagara in Pullman.

During his high school career he was a three-year starter at shortstop. During his senior year at Bethel Mike was SPSL all-state selection where he led the Braves to the WIAA 4A State Tournament. After graduating from Bethel high school Mike went on to start his college career playing baseball at Tacoma Community College for the 1984 and 85 baseball season. Following his freshman year, he was selected by the Mariners in the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft, but opted not to sign. During his junior year at Washington, his only season with the Huskies, he won the triple-crown in the Pac-10 North Division, and was selected by the Montreal Expos in the tenth round of the 1986 MLB Draft - he then transferred to the University of Washington in Seattle. The 6-foot-2 right-hander was primarily a third baseman during his 11-year major-league career (1989-99) with four franchises that included three stints with the Mariners. He had a career year with Seattle in 1995, hitting 23 home runs and driving in 96 runs. Mike made his major league debut with the New York Yankees on September 1, 1989, and played his last game on October 3, 1999 for the Seattle Mariners.
