Student 13/14 Guide Dear Student: On behalf of the entire University community, I would like to welcome you to the University of Alicante, a public higher education institution that serves society, generates knowledge and trains professionals and citizens who are engaged in upholding values. Send any comments or suggestions about the website to the Web Committee web.ua.es/en/comite-web. The approximately 300,000 documents it contains are grouped into twelve sections. Let’s see what they are. Presentation This section covers the administrative and academic organisation of the UA, as well as the Vice-Chancellor’s message, you can find facts, figures and the University of Alicante annual reports. You’ll find statistics about the UA and other Spanish and foreign univer- sities, as well as the University Coordination Council. You can view the UA photo album and the interactive map of the campus. The automatic geographical and cartographic information system lets you see what rooms there are in each building and locate staff.
