SHAPING TRISH CLARKE 10—13 January 2016, 4 day Summer Do workshop

Sculptural Shape with Trish Clarke

Experienced sculptor Trish Clarke will steer each student from the conception of their own idea through the sculptural process to make their own large scale outdoor sculpture.

Each participant will make maquettes of their designs to gain an understanding of design elements and the structural requirements of working on a larger scale. These small scale 3d plans will then be developed into a life sized sculpture made from flat aluminium/pvc ‘signboard’ which has superb scope to produce a endless array of designs and forms. Each participant will gain an understanding of the material and produce one or a series of finished sculpture up to the equivalent of 1.5m2.

Trish Clarke I am an and sculptor based in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand.

With a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Visual) from NorthTec, I am established as an artist for contemporary outdoor metal sculpture and have been consistently exhibiting my sculpture in indoor and outdoor exhibitions throughout New Zealand. Much of my work revolves around traditional gender roles and also environmental concerns. www.trishclarke.co.nz
