To globally align the development of motorsport talent, the FIA created as the first step after karting to develop drivers’ race-craft. Because of the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 Virus, MERITUS has shortened the FIA 2020 F4 South East Championship to 4 events. The Championship will stay in and race at the Sepang F1 Circuit to minimize risk, and reduce logistics. Each event will have 4 Races plus Free Practice and Qualifying where the driver gains over 300kms on-track experience. TV & Media

F4SEA livestreams each race on Facebook before cutting together the on-track action with the podium and press conference into a 30-minute programme for broadcast on FOX. This forms the basis of a media campaign that includes 60-second highlight videos, race reports, press conferences, driver interviews and features, all posted to Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and Instagram. All the action from the weekend is captured in the Championship’s in-house Magazine - TrackRecord.

Requirements

A driver must be 15 years or older and hold at least a National C License to compete in F4. F4 SEA drivers without a National C License can take part in the F4SEA Licensing Academy to earn a Malaysian National C License. The driver must also provide:

• No Objection Letter from his National FIA ASN • Medical Certificate • Driver Sportsman Insurance • Helmet & HANS (8859/8860) gloves, shoes and underwear
