Volunteers plant 300 trees in wood MORE than 300 trees have been planted in Hob Hey Wood by volunteers – together with hedging. In addition, the mesh on the boardwalk has been replaced. Members of Frodsham Town Council’s Environment Committee were told this in a report from the Friends of Hob Hey Wood. The group also hosted a walk during the Frodsham Festival of Walks, which was attended by more than 50 people. Councillors were told the Friends continue to promote the wood as a community facility. Visitor numbers have increased and the group are working on a five-year management plan.
