2017 Prosopon 6-day Advanced Iconography Workshop: St. Simeon, God Receiver

Intermediate: Mary, Mother of God, Beginner: St. Michael the Archangel

June 26 – July 1, 2017

There is something for everyone in this year’s Icon workshop! If you have some experience to do the gilding ahead of the workshop, paint the icon St. Simeon, God Receiver, from the Presentation in the Temple. Students who want to complete their icon during the workshop may choose Mary, Mother of God, or the beginner icon, St. Michael the Archangel. The teachers will be Tatiana and Dmitrii Berestov. This is the first icon workshop at Iconic’s new location: 7886 Camargo Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45243! Housing available at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, see separate form.

St. Michael the Archangel, or Mary, Mother of God – No preliminary work is required, all materials are provided; you will start and finish your icon during the 6 days of the workshop. $90.00 deposit to Jenny Ward should be mailed with registration form below by May 26, 2017, plus $550.00 tuition and materials fee to Tatiana Berestova the first day of workshop, June 26, 2017.

St. Simeon, God Receiver – Student chooses and purchases an icon board, transfers drawing, applies gold leaf, and paints lines before June 26th when class begins. Once registered, the drawing will be sent to the student. Tuition of $500.00 is due first day of workshop, June 26, 2017, with checks written to Tatiana Berestova. Optional for St. Simeon icon: Saturday open studio times, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Iconic, for assistance with drawing transfer and gilding. Dates: May 20, 27, June 3, 10, & 17, 2017. Contact Jenny Ward at [email protected] by May 1st if interested.
