It sits behind a row of houses on Buttesland Street, all constructed between 1810-35. The premises, known as the Pitfield Street Depot, was built by G Parker of Peckham, with steelwork by Newton Chambers Co, and opened in December 1895. In the early part of the 20th Century, motor power began to overtake horsepower, and the last LGOC horse-drawn omnibus ran on 18 October 1911. The LGOC sold the leasehold of most of the site to the Eastern Motor Wagon Company, which made it its headquarters and whose fleet of 31 steam lorries undertook local haulage work. The premises was acquired in the early 1930s by Cromer Cars, who made further changes to the former covered yard, inserting the concrete mezzanine gallery which was originally fitted with a gantry and overhead travelling crane. Since 1965 the premises has been occupied by the current tenant, Wharfside furniture company. 03 / LOCATION SHOREDITCH STABLES The area constantly evolves and breaks boundaries with new emerging food trends, a growing number of boutique retail brands, a cutting edge arts scene and an overwhelming choice of cocktail bars, cafes, pubs and pop up events spaces. It is easy to see why the area continues to attract forward-thinking businesses who are drawn to the amenity offering as well as the creative environment. IN THE HEART OF TRENDY HOXTON The area was historically known as the home of the fashionable arts and music scene. Characterised by its attractive warehouse style buildings and vibrant cultural atmosphere, Hoxton, has over recent years become increasingly fashionable to both occupiers and investors alike. The sub-market has become synonymous with the rapidly expanding Tech, Fin-Tech and Design industries. t S ad r Ro pe ian Up n Yo rk Wa Caledo W East y en 04 / LOCATION Whar SHOREDITCH STABLES l ock ANGEL Ro f ad Pi Rd KINGS CROSS Rd d Roa nville nto Pe St Nile Sh A NEIGHBOURHOOD Prov HOXTON ep ad h e o Ro r st de n tfi to Ho s St Kingsland Eu ss eld FULL OF SURPRISES xt W on St ST PANCRAS al d k R St St y ezer e Ci en ty Eb kn Rd c Rd Rd Ha Hoxton continues to thrive with it’s diverse mix t Buttesland St Cent G s r ay of amenities helping to attract a thriving number of Ea Hoxton ra ’s Square In tech and web companies, along with business from l St n Ro other key sectors. e ad u Shor en 01 08 13 Av 02 ed ry 05 Bath LOCAL OCCUPIERS 23 it Arnold St Cu sebe 03 10 15 ch High Old Circus St 16 Ro Bounda 11 09 10 Rivington St 01 Adobe 09 Farfetch OLD St 14 08 14 24 ry 02 AHMM 10 Infosys Fa 22 30 rt STREET St rr ingdon 03 Airbnb 11 Inmarsat 04 ain Old Nichol St 13 29 G r 04 Box 12 Runpath 11 t e Rd 27 S a 03 01 04 05 t Rd 05 BrainLabs 13 Totally Money le 25 E Redchurch St 07 06 ast ac e 06 07 12 n Leonard St r 06 Capital One 14 WeWork r n S t t S 07 Checkout.com 15 Spark44 d 16 12 19 Tea Building Gr 15 Tabe 26 20 Ol 02 ay 08 Ebiquity 16 Turner Broadcasting Luke St et Ci re ’s Pa Clif St In ty 28 RUSSELL rd ul fo Whitecross n il Rd to u Brick Wh St Scrutton St 18 SQUARE G Ro St John’s Market n Bunhill ad Square i St Go t e Bonhill St C La cr o Go l mm LOCAL AMENITIES den d oss SHOREDITCH ne oa sw e ll R Ro r St Worship St c nwe La ial HIGH STREET ell ke w ne 17 21 S Cler t FOOD & DRINK LIFESTYLE & LEISURE Rd Finsbury Old 01 Breakfast Club 16 Ace Hotel Square 09 Truman 02 Bone Daddies 17 Barrys Bootcamp Chiswell St Brewery Moor B 03 Enoteca da Luca 18 Boxpark i BARBICAN s Wilson FARRINGDON h 04 Gloria 19 Citizen M o p ga F s ar d 05 Nightjar 20 Cowshed g te a a Ro ri St lds 06 Ozone Coffeen 21 Fight Club t oba gdon e Old Spitalfields The 07 Passo 22 Gymbox Market 08 Popolo Stre 23 House of Hackney 09 Queen of Hoxton 24 Mr Start et MOORGATE 10 Serata Hall 25 Nobu Hotel 11 Shoreditch Grind 26 Shoreditch House Finsbury LIVERPOOL 12 St Leonards 27 Sunspel Circus HOLBORN 13 The Princess of Shoreditch 28 The Curtain STREET London Wall 14 Tramshed 29 The Hoxton Hotel CHANCERY 15 Wagamamas 30 Tokyobike LANE Hol born Viadu ct 05 / COMMUNICATIONS SHOREDITCH STABLES UNRIVALLED Shoreditch Stables is conveniently located within a short walk of Old Street and other key stations, CONNECTIONS offering excellent transport links.
