Willingdon College was started at Sangli in 1919. The college has completed 100 years Successfully & enjoys a very high status amongst colleges affiliated to Shivaji Univertsity, Kolhapur. College has glorious tradition. Many renowned educationalists, scientists, sportsmen and social leaders studied in this college. The Subject will be regarded as special subject and it will have five papers. 2) SCIENCE FACULTY We have B.Sc. course in Basic as well as Applied Science. Our college is the first college in Shivaji University to start Biotechnology (Vocational) at B.Sc. level. There is a separate building of Departments of Applied Sciences with spacious, well equipped laboratories, lecture halls, instruments room and departmental library. Admission to B.Sc. I Biotechnology is given on the basis of merit of PCMB/PCB at l2th. The syllabus includes theory papers, practical, on the job training, project work, entrepreneurship and study tour. Internet facility is available in the department for students during working hours. B.Sc. Computer Science has been introduced in the college in 2007. This course imparts deep knowledge in the field of Computer Technology. College has spacious Computer Science Laboratory along with latest version computer systems and highly qualified staff. (A) B.Sc.. Part - I (Intake Capacity : 240 Grantable & 120 Non- Grant ) There are five subjects for this examination. 1) Compulsory Subject - English 2) Optional Subject Groups- Subjects should be selected as per choice based credit system.
