This report is established by the provisions of Oklahoma Statutes Title 36 § 307 and summarizes the activities of the Oklahoma Insurance Department through the period ending Dec. 31, 2009. In addition to the required financial disclosures and listing of companies operating in Oklahoma, this report highlights the work of the Oklahoma Insurance Department on behalf of Oklahoma taxpayers. Oklahoma state history. Elected to office in 2006 after being appointed by Gov. Brad Henry in January 2005 to fill an unexpired term, Holland has restored the integrity of the Insurance Department, bringing honesty and a vision of a completely transparent Department. A business woman and active civic volunteer before becoming insurance commissioner, she has a proven track record of consumer advocacy over more than two decades
