This division also maintains files and records inventory for the Department; and designs and publishes publications for the general public. Consumer information material is distributed at public events, and may also be obtained directly from the Department or through our web site. Agents Licensing Division ..............................................................................................(405) 521-3916 Agents Licensing is responsible for the licensing of resident or non-resident agents and adjusters who desire to do business in Oklahoma. The division determines whether applicants for licenses meet the qualifications set forth in the statutes of the State of Oklahoma and for administering the examinations to all agents and adjusters. Bail Bond Division .........................................................................................................(405) 521-6610 This division is responsible for determining whether applicants for bail bond licenses meet the qualifications set forth in the statutes of the State of Oklahoma. This division also administers examinations given to all bail bondsmen. Comptrollers Division ....................................................................................................(405) 521-6655 This division is in charge of all of the internal fiscal affairs of the insurance department, including the preparation of payroll, purchasing of equipment and keeping of all fiscal records as required by law. Claims/Consumer Assistance Division ...........................................................................(405) 521-2991 This division investigates all complaints lodged against insurance companies by the public. Further, this division answers all routine requests for information concerning insurance companies and insurance policies. Information Technology Division ...................................................................................(405) 522-6183 This division provides all internal data processing services to the other divisions of the Oklahoma Insurance Department. Further, it provides the public with both summary and detailed information from many of the records maintained by this office. Financial Division ...........................................................................................................(405) 521-3966 This division determines whether insurance companies applying for admission to do business in the State of Oklahoma meet the qualifications for admittance as set forth by law. This division, through outside examiners, conducts the statutory examination of all domestic insurance companies of the State of Oklahoma and collects all premium taxes and statutory fees due to the State. If evidence of wrongdoing or non- compliance with the insurance laws is found, the information is forwarded to the Legal Division.
