On behalf of the Board of Trustees, welcome to Triton College Trojan Athletics! The Athletics Program at Triton College is an integral part of the educational and collegiate experience for both the individual student athlete and the college community. We are a proud member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the North Central Community College Conference (N4C), where some of the best competition in the region and nation occurs almost weekly. Triton currently supports more than 200 student athletes in 10 intercollegiate sports teams, including: men’s basketball, baseball, wrestling, soccer, and track & field; and women’s basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, and track & field. Our sports programs are conducted in a manner that values sportsmanship and 100 percent effort. Our athletes are engaged in maintaining high academic standards and active involvement in the community while they compete in sports on a regional and national level. Being involved in college athletics challenges the student athlete to not only be competitive in their sport, but to develop leadership skills, teamwork, work ethic, and the dedication needed to attain lifelong goals. I believe that as a result of competing in Triton College Athletics, more doors will open for our students professionally because of the valuable lessons learned both in the classroom and in the sports arena. We have reason to be proud of our Trojans! Over the years it’s been a pleasure to recognize the success our All-American athletes and nationally-ranked teams, highlighted by our 2018 Men’s Basketball NJCAA D-II National Champions! I invite you to get involved in Triton College Trojan Athletics as a participant or as a supporter, and look forward to seeing you at one of our athletic events. GO TROJANS! Mark R.
