Minor Changes to the Times of Pewsey Vale Buses 101, 102 And Minor changes to the times of Pewsey Vale buses 101, 102 and 103 starting on 15 December 2019 On 15 December, there will be major alterations to the times that trains call at Pewsey Station. We will therefore be making a few adjustments to the timetable of services 101 and 102 from the same date to try to match these, but unfortunately some of the train time changes are so great that it will not be immediately possible for us to provide as many convenient connections with trains as we have done previously. In particular, we regret that we will not be able to provide a connection on weekdays with the new 0930 train to London as the buses are required to operate school services until 0900. We will however be providing a connection with that train on Saturdays by retiming the first bus from Devizes to run 45 minutes earlier. At the same time, we will also be introducing an extra early morning journey at 0720 from Upavon to Devizes on weekdays and a few other journeys will depart slightly earlier to improve reliability, so please check the new timetables in this leaflet carefully to avoid missing your bus. How to use the Pewsey Vale Bus Services If you are boarding the bus at Devizes Market Place or at Pewsey Co-op, or at any point in the villages where a time is shown in the timetable, you do not need to book a seat through the call centre as the bus will always call at those bus stops. However, if you need to board a bus at a village where there is a ( symbol in the timetable instead of a time, then you will need to ring the call centre to ensure that the bus goes that way to pick you up. Our call centre number is 01722 326 154 and the booking line is open between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on weekdays and between 8.30 am and 1 pm on Saturdays. Please note that if you wish to travel before 10 am, we recommend that you book your seat on the previous working day, as the call centre is often at its busiest first thing in the morning. If you travel regularly on services 101, 102 and 103 and do not have a free bus pass, you may find it cheaper to purchase a 10-journey ticket from the driver. We also offer Season Tickets which give unlimited travel on these services for 3, 6 or 12 month periods, and young people aged between 17 and 21 can purchase a one year Young Persons Discount Card allowing them to travel on these services at child fares. For further details of these tickets, please ring 01225 718080. If you would like further details about these services, or would like to request further modifications to the routes or timetables, please ring Wiltshire Council’s Passenger Transport Unit on 01225 718080 or email us at [email protected] . Alternatively you can send your comments in writing to: The Passenger Transport Unit, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge. BA14 8JN. Pewsey – Woodborough – All Cannings – Devizes Salisbury Reds services Service 101 runs via Wilcot, service 102 runs via Upavon 101 , 102 Please note that a ( symbol indicates that the bus will only call at that point if pre-booked or if required to set down passengers already on the bus. If you wish the bus to pick you up at this point, please ring 01722 326 154 at least 2 hours beforehand. However the bus will always call at points where a time is shown so there is no need to book if you want to board at one of those points. Please note, though, that “—” or “ | ” indicates that the bus will not call at that point at all. .Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) . .Saturdays . • Addendum to School Places Strategy 2017-2022 – Explanation of the Differences Between Wiltshire Community Areas and Wiltshire School Planning Areas
Addendum to School Places Strategy 2017-2022 – Explanation of the differences between Wiltshire Community Areas and Wiltshire School Planning Areas This document should be read in conjunction with the School Places Strategy 2017 – 2022 and provides an explanation of the differences between the Wiltshire Community Areas served by the Area Boards and the School Planning Areas. The Strategy is primarily a school place planning tool which, by necessity, is written from the perspective of the School Planning Areas. A School Planning Area (SPA) is defined as the area(s) served by a Secondary School and therefore includes all primary schools in the towns and surrounding villages which feed into that secondary school. As these areas can differ from the community areas, this addendum is a reference tool to aid interested parties from the Community Area/Area Board to define which SPA includes the schools covered by their Community Area. It is therefore written from the Community Area standpoint. Amesbury The Amesbury Community Area and Area Board covers Amesbury town and surrounding parishes of Tilshead, Orcheston, Shrewton, Figheldean, Netheravon, Enford, Durrington (including Larkhill), Milston, Bulford, Cholderton, Wilsford & Lake, The Woodfords and Great Durnford. It encompasses the secondary schools The Stonehenge School in Amesbury and Avon Valley College in Durrington and includes primary schools which feed into secondary provision in the Community Areas of Durrington, Lavington and Salisbury. However, the School Planning Area (SPA) is based on the area(s) served by the Secondary Schools and covers schools in the towns and surrounding villages which feed into either The Stonehenge School in Amesbury or Avon Valley College in Durrington.
