Following the top ranked German Philipp Kohlschreiber brings a 5-0 head-to-head advantage over Julien Benneteau of France. In the third match former world No. 8 Marcos Baghdatis brings a 3-1 advantage over No. 4 seed David Goffin. The world No. 16 Goffin won their last meeting in straight sets last year in the third round at Wimbledon. Last week the 30-year-old Baghdatis reached first ATP World Tour quarter-final of the year at Montpellier (l. to eventual champion Gasquet). It was his first quarter-final since last October in Stockholm where he advanced to semi-finals (ret. vs. Berdych). In the first match of the evening session French / No. 5 seed Gael Monfils faces the Latvian qualifier Ernests Gulbis.
