Brief Description of Project : The project was started during the academic year 2014-15, we were able to provide complete school kits to 725 students and a total of 1196 students benefited through our project. We planned to continue our project this academic year 2015-16 and started our work related to the project in the month of Feb -2015 and we planned to provide kits to as many students as possible depending on the resources in hand by end of May 2015. The project was planned with an intention to provide school kits to students from rural villages , after discussing with all our volunteers we planned to select schools from Ananthapur, Kadapa districts of AP and Rangareddy , Mahabubnagar and Warangal districts of Telangana. Role of Volunteers : Volunteers are integral part of our organization and all the projects implemented till date are successful only because of their hard work and commitment and this is no exception , all the volun- teers did their best in finding out sponsors and in a period of 90 days they were able to find sponsors for 1500+ students and through other sources of funding (Monthly donations, Volunteer contributions) we were able to generate some amount that would support another 1000+ students by providing them with notebooks and stationery kits. The complete process (Initial Planning —> Surveys in Various Schools —> Search for Sponsors —> Procuring of kits —> Transport of items —> Distribution of kits ) involved relentless hard work of 20 volunteers for over 2 months. HH4P SCHOOL KIT : School Bag , Notebooks , Water Bottle , Exam Pad , Geometry Box , Long Scale , Pens (2) , Pencils (2) , Sharpener , Eraser Project SAS 2015 : The project was led by Mr. Abhilash Pulijala and ably supported by Mr. Bharath Kumar, both of them managed all the planning , scheduling , transportation of kits , distribution of kits and also all the finances and accounts related to the project. Mr. Ajay Veesam and Mr. Ganesh supported through out by leading our team during the distribution of kits. The surveys at various places were conducted by our volunteers Suresh (Ananthapur), Ramakrishna & Veerabharathi (Kadapa) , Sandhya & B.Karthik (Warangal), Ganesh ( MBNR) , after collecting information from over 35 schools , we selected 20 schools for distributing school kits based on the students count , attendance and pass percentage from previous academic year. In Ananthapur district , 4 schools from Gorantla Mandal and 2 schools at Hindupur were selected , all the schools in Gorantla Mandal were in remote villages (B.Kothapalli , Manadalapalle, Boodili, Puleru) , the students at these places either lived with their grand parents or alone, most of their parents were said to be migrated from their villages due to severe drought and working for daily wages either in Bangalore or Ananthapur. In Kadapa district , 5 schools were selected and keeping in mind about the excess drop- outs of girl students in the last few academic years and lack of interest from parents to educate girl child at these places, priority was given to Girls high schools at Kalasapadu & Muddanur, the 3 other schools selected were from complete remote villages (Tellapadu , Chinnaguruvaluru and Kodigud- lapadu), apart from these schools 10 other primary schools were chosen and they were provided with notebooks, slates ,pencil boxes and other stationery. In Warangal district , 4 schools were selected , 3 of them (Ramannagudem, Muppanapalle & Gurrevula) are from Eturunagaram Mandal and Neerukulla village from Atmakur Mandal. The three villages in Eturunagaram mandal are situated in the forest range close to Telangana - Chhattisgarh border with students from very poor families. The distribution process involved travelling to remote villages , over 14 days we visited 30 different government schools in Ananthapur, Kadapa, Warangal, Mahabubnagar and Rangareddy districts and distributed kits to 2916 students. We were able to provide 1538 students from 20 different schools with complete School kits (Bag , Note- books , Water bottle, Geometry Box , Exam Pad & Stationery items) and we also provided Notebooks and Stationary Kits (Geometry Box , Exam Pad & Stationery items) to 986 students and also primary kits (Notebooks, Slate , Pencil Box & stationery) to 392 primary school students from 10 schools .
