!1 History “I’ll Never Find Another You” was the best selling single of 1965 in the UK, #4 in the US. Tom Springfield was born Dionysius P. A. O’Brien in Hampstead, London in 1934, and attended the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe from 1944 to 1950. He formed a vocal trio, in 1960, with his sister Dusty and a friend, Tim Field. The group broke up in 1963 and he became a record producer and songwriter for . He wrote many of their major hits, including “I’ll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own", the million-selling “" (the melody was based on a Russian folk song, while Tom Springfield wrote the remaining music and lyrics for the song) and "Walk with Me", “Island of Dreams”, and co-wrote “Georgy Girl” with nominated for an Academy Award for the Best Original Song of 1966. His other hit compositions include "Adios Amour (Goodbye My Love)", which was recorded by Jose Feliciano and The Casuals.
