ADVANCED KRISTEN HILL DONNER-VERSACE Once again, we have had to move our junior development clinic to the Camden Bicentennial Park as our facilities are too small for this type of activity. Equestrian sport is growing fast in NSW now that the shadow of Equine Infl uenza is well behind us, and it is at last being recognised for its huge tourism value. The new Equestrian Centre at Tamworth is already booked out for 47 weeks of next year as are , Camden and the Equestrian Centres. We know that riders love visiting Berry and the township benefi ts from the fl ow-on economic purchases as riders not only fi ll their vehicles with fuel, but quite often shop in the village and take away food for meals. Our eventual move to Schofi elds Lane, south of the village will provide the club with a wonderful opportunity for expansion and hopefully attract much larger events to the area. Our future is still uncertain at the time of writing this report as the current grounds in North St have been sold to the RMS for the Berry By-Pass and we have been advised that we need to move off by November. We are working with the Council and RMS to fi nd a temporary location on which to continue our busy program and to store our large inventory of equipment. The club provides a wide variety of riding activities for horse owners of all ages and ability in the and Shoalhaven and welcomes visitors from further afi eld. Follow our activities on our website www.berryridingclub.com Right: Carolyn and Rachel Heron, champions at Club Dressage Championships.
