A note about payments:

Payment of all amounts due to the Corporation for attending and participating in the annual Big D Charity Horse Show is expected prior to the end of the Horse Show. Carrying unpaid receivables inter- feres with the Corporation’s mission and lessens the amount of money it is able to contribute to its charities. Therefore, it shall be the policy of the Corporation 1. Not to permit any person to participate in the Horse Show who has an outstanding balance owing from prior year’s Horse Show 2. To impose a charge of 6% per annum on all unpaid amounts beginning on the 30th day fol- lowing the Horse Show, with partial payments applied first to principal; 3. To impose a fee if a check is returned for Insufficient Funds in the amount of $39.00 or the highest lawful rate, whichever is lowest. Nothing herein or in any demand made by the Corporation for payment shall ever entitle the Corpora- tion, upon the arising of any contingency whatsoever, to receive or collect interest in excess of 6% per annum on the past due amounts and in no event shall the person owing the past due balance be obli- gated to pay interest thereon in excess of such a rate. Stabling Stall assignments will be made solely by the Show Management. Requests concerning stalls will be granted whenever possible, however no exhibitor is guaranteed stall placement. Exhibitors are urged by management to check stall charts carefully when moving in, to ensure they are in the correct stalls. Any exhibitor moving into stalls assigned to someone else will have to move into the correct stalls. No stalls will be assigned without payment. Stalls are approximately 10’ x 10’; 7’ high box stalls with full doors and are inside under cover. Stall fees are $150.00 All horses must have a stall. Stalls will be available 12:00 noon on Monday April 19 and must be vacated by the end of the day Sunday April 25. On Monday they will be changing the footing in the main arena—there will be trucks moving through the stabling area. Any stall decorations put up by the exhibitors, whether their own or contracted for with a professional decorator must be removed by the exhibitors at the close of the show. Excessive use of nails, tacks or wires, or any similar materials is forbidden. Any physical alterations to partitions between stalls, of the like, which are not repaired by exhibitors will be charged to exhibitors at the rate for which the repair is charged to the show by the City of Fort Worth. Exhibitors will be responsible for putting shavings and manure in the dumpsters. Horses and their stalls must be kept neat and clean at all times. All shavings must be purchased through the horse show office. Please place initial bedding orders on the entry blanks. Exhibitor may not bring their own shavings. The stall floors are concrete. The Big D Charity Horse Show will be conducted in compliance with all federal, Texas and local laws and requirements with respect to COVID-19. The competition will also be compliant with the US Equestrian Federation COVID-19 Action Plan, WHO recommendations and CDC guidelines as they relate to sporting events. We urge all persons who plan on attending to become familiar with the Action Plan. These Rules are subject to change or modification so please check back often. For your convenience, some of it will be restated here, and all competitors and others in attendance are required to comply with the following competition Rules:

In addition, please familiarize yourself with all USEF Requirements and Recommendations for our competition. Click here to read these rules.

1. All participants and trainers must provide emergency contact information and execute an updated Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement required by the USEF. That document will be on the show’s website for your convenience.

2. Participants are required to self-monitor their temperature once daily prior to entering the competition grounds. Anyone with a temperature of 99.5° F (37.5° C) or higher may not enter the facility. Show officials may also take the temperatures of any persons randomly on the show grounds and such persons must comply or leave the show grounds.

3. Anyone who: (a) exhibits COVID-19 symptoms, (b) has tested positive for COVID-19 within last two weeks, or (c) has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks cannot enter the competition grounds. (Excepted from subsection (c) are Healthcare personnel who have treated patients using appropriate medical- grade PPE during the course of performing professional duties)

4. Participants are required to wear a facemask or face covering when in a public setting where there is a possibility of being within six feet of other individuals, and when not mounted on a horse. (A participant may choose to wear a facemask or face covering when mounted on a horse and cannot be disqualified or penalized for doing so while competing.) Each barn must supply its own PPE and in sufficient quantities to comply with these Rules.

5. No members of the general public are permitted on the show grounds. All persons on the show grounds are required to comply with 6-foot social distancing at all times, except as stated in paragraph 6. In the barn area, seating areas will be permitted only if social distancing is observed, which means that persons not part of an immediate family (or a legal guardian of a minor) must always remain 6-feet apart.

6. Other than staff and officials, no persons are allowed in the arena or warm- up ring during competition other than Participants, including the rider/driver, his or her trainer, a groom, and if a minor, a parent. When preparing to compete and immediately thereafter, it is understood that the rider/driver, his or her trainer and groom may need be closer together than otherwise permitted, and in accordance with paragraph 4, during those times when six-foot social distancing is impractical, the trainer and groom should have face coverings. Social distancing requirements are not mandatory for immediate family members.

7. In classes with line-ups, during the line-up, horses and riders must be a minimum of six feet apart.

8. All persons on the show grounds must wash hands often and adhere to other sanitation practices throughout the day.

9. It is recommended that exhibitors arrive at the horse show dressed and ready to compete in order to reduce contact.

10. Check-in will be done by appointment only. There will be sign-up procedure to schedule your time. Only one person will be allowed in the show office at a time. You are encouraged to do your entries online to minimize time in the office. You may add/scratch classes via text. When you are ready to check out, please text the secretary and your summary sheets will be emailed to you. Check them over before coming to the office to fill out the open check. 11. All persons are advised to avoid the arena area during the night as arenas will be closed overnight at times to be announced for WRMC to fog with disinfectant.

12. Access to the barn areas are restricted to veterinarians, competitors, officials, grooms, trainers and other essential personnel.

13. We encourage the use of mounting blocks in lieu of giving a “leg-up” in order to minimize contacts.

14. Tack, grooming supplies and stall handles and other similar items and surfaces must be disinfected between uses. Each barn must supply its own PPE and in sufficient quantities to comply with these Rules.

15. Please be aware that under the USEF Rules, persons who fail to comply with these Rules may be barred from the show grounds. In that event, no refunds will be given. Division Entries must be accompanied by a copy of the registration papers showing proof of ownership. Please submit papers with entries.
