Large, who was born in Leeds in January 1940, played for nine English clubs and had three spells with one of them, Northampton Town. He made 569 Football League appearunces altogether and scored 209 goals. In contrast, his NASL career covered only one season with Baltimore Comets. Fryatt, who was born in Southampton in September 1940, played for seven English clubs, having two spells each with Torquay United, Southport and Stockport County. Fryattb overall English career saw him score 189 goals in 489 Football League games. His most remarkable effort came for Bradford against Tranmere Royers on 25 April 1964, when he scored a goal timed at four seconds from the kick-off, the fastest- ever strike in an English Football League match.
