1. The Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No. 5 of 2016) 2. G.O.Ms. No.26 MA&UD (H) Department, dated 08.02.2016. 3. From the Director of Town and Country Planning, Andhra Pradesh, No.2920/16/P, dated 30.01.2019. & & & O R D E R:

The Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No. 5 of 2016) has come into force w.e.f 08.02.2016 by virtue of notification issued in G.O. 2nd read above.

2. In the reference 3rd and 4th read above, the District Collector, Chittor District and the Director of Town & Country Planning, AP, Guntur has requested the Government for constitution of Chittoor Urban Development Authority (CHUDA), with a jurisdiction of 22 Mandals covering 434 villages and One (01) Urban Local Body i.e., Chittoor Municipal Corporation with an extent of 3501.14 Sq.Kms and population of 12,05,683 as per 2011 census with Head Quarters at Chittoor Town under Sec. 3 & 4, Chapter-II of Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016.

3. Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to declare the area of 3501.14 Sq. Kms covering One (01) Urban Local Body i.e., Chittoor Municipal Corporation and 434 villages in 22 Mandals in Chittoor District as given in notification – I and constitute Chittoor Urban Development Authority (CHUDA) with Head Quarter at Chittoor as given in notification – II are appended to this G.O.

4. The Urban Development Authority shall function from the office in Chittoor Town with the support of its staff. The expenditure towards establishment and other secretarial assistance shall be completely borne by Chittoor Urban Development Authority (CHUDA). Initially, the Urban Development Authority shall function with the grants of Development fund and Revolving fund. Later, with their own revenue.

5. The modalities for Development of lands, Preparation of Master Plan and Zonal Development plans, Acquisition and disposal of lands, Inspection and penalties etc., shall be followed as per the provisions of the Andhra

Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016).

6. The appended notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:12.02.2019.

7. The Commissioner of Printing, Stationery and Stores Purchase, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is requested to supply 10 copies of the Extra- ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016), the Government of Andhra Pradesh having regard to the need for the promotion of development activities relating to as a Urban Development Authority to achieve the objectives of the region witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of Industries, Imports and Exports etc. hereby specify a special Urban Development Area for the area comprised of Chittoor Municipal Corporation with the jurisdiction covering 434 villages in 22 Mandals in Chittoor District

2 with Head Quarters at Chittoor Town and with an extent of 3501.14 Sq. Kms and population of 12,05,683 and villages as specified in the following Annexure to this notification to be a Urban Development Area for the purpose of the said Act and the said Area shall be called as “Chittoor Urban Development Area (CHUDA)”. NOTIFICATION – II In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (ii) of subsection (3) of section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby constitute an Urban Development Authority for the area

13 specified in the Notification – I above for the purpose of the said Act and the said Authority shall be called as the " Chittoor Urban Development Authority (CHUDA)" and shall consist of the following members, namely:- a) The Chairperson to be appointed by the Government; b) the ‘Vice-Chairperson’ – who is a Government Member Convener Officer to be appointed by the Government, shall be the whole time Chief Executive Officer of the Authority and shall be the c) OSD /Joint / Deputy Secretary to Government, Member; Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department d) Joint / Deputy Secretary to Government, Finance Member; Department - Member; e) Officers not more than four, dealing with Members; Transportation, Roads & Buildings, Energy, 12 Environment or such other departments as may be deemed necessary by the Government f) District Collector of the development area Member; g) Director of Town & Country Planning or his Member; nominee And h) Three experts of national or international repute Members; who possess knowledge in urban governance, urban planning, conservation, environment and transportation to be appointed by the Government
