It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Council held on 14th May 2019 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Mayor.

21. M AYORS COM M UNICATIONS

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor‘s engagements were circulated and noted.

The Mayor thanked everyone who attended his Civic Reception on 7th June 2019, the raffle had raised £250 for his two charities.

22. APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERM ISSION

Consideration was given to consultations by the District Council on the following applications for planning permission, and it was RESOLVED that the District Council be informed of the Town Council response to each consultation, as set out below:-

23. ARISING FROM CONSIDERATION OF THE APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERM ISSION

Noted.

24. DECISIONS ON PAST PLANNING APPLICATIONS

Members had been circulated with a list of the decisions of the District Council in respect of past planning applications and, it was RESOLVED that the list be noted.

25. UPDATE FROM COUNCILLOR M RS N M ARTIN ON SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD W ATCH

Councillor Mrs Martin reported that policing in the area was happening 24 hours. The Police would be holding an open day at the Civic Centre on Saturday 22nd June 2019. There were no real negatives but one positive was that PC Maher and his team had been doing a lot of work on a W ednesday evening on the W alshes estate with youngsters involving activities. The team had seen attendance figures increasing from 9 to 24. Financial support had been provided by District and County Councillors and a Sport bid for permanent residency had been applied for.

Councillor Mrs Martin had thanked PC Maher and his team on behalf of Stourport Town Council for the work they were doing. 3 Agenda Item No. 2 Appendix 1

26. ANNUAL GOVERNANCE STATEM ENT 2018/19

The annual governance statement was approved and signed by the Town Mayor and Town Clerk.

27. ANNUAL ACCOUNTS 2018/19

The Treasurer took Members through the report and stated that there were no significant matters to report.

Members thanked the Treasurer for his hard work and detailed report.

28. M OTION SUBM ITTED TO COUNCIL

The motion was withdrawn.

29. UPDATE FROM THE TOW N CLERK ON THE RIVERSIDE PADDLING POOL

The Town Clerk informed Members that repairs to the paddling pool would be carried out on Thursday 13th June 2019 by an external contractor. It had been reported that the leak could be coming from one of the pipes from the pump house and not a fracture under the wetpour surface.

30. ACCOUNTS

The Town Clerk reported that Accounts for May totalling £5,968.36 had been paid since the last meeting and it was RESOLVED that the report be noted and approved. A Schedule of the Accounts paid was appended at the end of these Minutes, in the Council‘s Minute Book, and was available for general inspection.

31. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

None.

32. EXCLUSION TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

Decision: "Under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of "exempt information" as defined in paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

The Town Clerk was asked to write to W CC asking for clarification.
