Maintenant, à nous de jouer ! 5 LE COMITÉ Association des Eleveurs de Chevaux de courses AQPS de l’Ouest M.Michel de Gigou - Président Mme Nelly de la Guillonnière - Vice-Président & Trésorière M. We have tried to avoid the more obvious choices like Envoi Allen, Shishkin, Epatante and Al Boum Photo, and have instead gone for some that seem on the face of it to be a bit darker… although all of them could easily turn out to be top class! It is very hard to be confident about which 2021 Festival targets horses will be aimed at but we have tried to avoid those that are declared for multiple events and have come up with horses that are currently quoted at double figure prices for the races we think they are most likely to line up for. Why not set all ten up in a free tracker, there are plenty available and you'll get an email sent to you every time one is due to run so you can watch how they develop over the season. If you don't know, don't worry I'll tell you in the next section how to do it… it's dead easy! Anyway, we hope that you enjoy our guide and that it brings plenty of enjoyment and hopefully a few winners over the season.

  • Anglo-Irish-Hurdle-2017 1..16
SUPPLEMENT TO THE RACING CALENDAR MAY 25th 2017 1 ....................................................................................................................................................................................................... ANGLO-IRISH JUMP CLASSIFICATIONS 2016-2017 This is the eighteenth full Anglo-Irish Jump Classification. It classifies the best steeplechasers and hurdlers that were trained in either Britain or Ireland during the 2016-2017 season, or in France if that performance was achieved in Britain or Ireland. It is not a handicap but a retrospective measurement of best sustainable performances during the recent season so there may be differences from current handicap marks. The classifications are for all chasers and hurdlers down to a rating of 140. The steeplechasers are divided into distance categories of 2 miles to 2 miles 2.5 furlongs, 2 miles 3 furlongs to 2 miles 6.5 furlongs and 2 miles 7 furlongs plus. They are included in the list in which the handicappers believe they have put up their best performance. SUNDAY, 29TH JANUARY 2017 Invincible Spirit EBN EUROPEAN BLOODSTOCK NEWS FOR MORE INFORMATION: TEL: +44 (0) 1638 666512 • FAX: +44 (0) 1638 666516 • [email protected] • WWW.BLOODSTOCKNEWS.EU STAKES RESULTS | NH STAKES RESULTS | INDUSTRY NEWS | STAKES REVIEW TODAY’S HEADLINES NATIONAL HUNT RACING REVIEW TRAGEDY STRIKES AFTER CLOUDS CRACKS THISTLE The Gr.2 Cotswold Chase was billed to be another opportunity for picture courtesy of RACINGFOTOS.COM Thistlecrack (Kayf Tara) to showcase his talents and take more scalps of the chasing world, but it ended in tragedy. Last year’s winner Smad Place (Smadoun) made the running tracked by Many Clouds (Cloudings), jumping with his usual exuberance, and Thistlecrack, who made several jumpings errors. Many Clouds surged into the lead four fences out and, though Thistlecrack did his very best to overtake him in the battle to the line and briefly got his head in front, Many Clouds fought back, proving the World Champion Arrogate (Unbridled’s Song) coasts home stronger in the closing stage to score by a head. Disaster struck in the inaugural Gr.1 Pegasus World Cup last night however, as, after crossing the line, Many Clouds collapsed. Initially, it was thought that he just required cooling off and today doing what he does best. He wanted to win that race, he was oxygen, as he had when he won the Gr.3 Grand National in 2015, beaten and then fought back in the last 50 yards to win. It’s sad for but it was subsequently revealed that he had failed to respond to Trevor and my team at Rhonehurst; I’ve been in the game 32 years treatment and died.
