LOTS OF GOOD REASONS WHY FRANK IS AN OAM Frank’s contribution as a leader in the local church has bene- fitted the wider community by ensuring that the Catholic RECIPIENT (CONTINUED) Church in Lockington is ecumenical and well respected in the Lockington community. Frank became a member of the Rochester Knights of the Southern Cross in April 1959 serving as President and then as District Chairman in mid 70’s. He was honored as a Life Member on September 22, 1997. Frank has served on the Parish Financial Council for many years.

Farmer and Environmentalist Frank has worked on the land all of his life. Even after he and Mary moved into Lockington over 20 years ago, they have

maintained connection to the farming community, the hap-

penings of the seasons and the news of the day. Frank has demonstrated service to the agricultural sector through:

Meet each day as it comes.” President, John Van Den Bosch, invited Margaret Dowie, on behalf of the Lockington Lions Club, to thank Peter, and presented him with a gift. THE BEAUTY OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA MILLOO AUSTRALIA DAY

Ray Wakefield was the Guest Speaker at Milloo’s Australia Day dinner, speaking on life in Papua New Guinea, which happens to be the International Country which the CWA have on this year’s agenda. Michael and Rachael Wakefield and their four children work with Christian Radio Missionary Fellowship (CRMF), living in Goroke, therefore Ray and Joan visit often. Ray read information of PNG then followed with a photo presentation of village life, a hike to Mt. Willem, Goroke market, etc. The scenery really incredible, not forgetting the hospitality by the Nationals. Julie Chappel, Milloo CWA President, thanked Ray for his presen- tation.
