ANNUAL REPORT 2018

Greater Volunteers has continued its mission to enrich the community and individuals through volunteer service for more than 46 years. We promote volunteerism and engage people in sharing their time and talents to help our community. In 2018 we served 2,383 volunteers and138 nonprofit organizations throughout Cuyahoga County.

We provide volunteers to help nonprofits deliver programs and services or to assist with special projects or events. In addition, we provide volunteer management assistance to these organiza- tions. Our volunteers help at hunger centers, meals delivery programs, schools, libraries, hospitals, nursing homes, homeless shelters, job training programs, community centers, museums and other cultural institutions.

In addition to finding volunteers for other nonprofit organizations, Volunteers manages the Cleveland affiliate of the national AARP Foundation Experience Corps literacy tutor- ing program for students in the Cleveland and Euclid schools; the Cuyahoga County chapter of the national RSVP program for older adult volunteers; and communications activities for the Encore Cleveland initiative.

We would not be successful without our dedicated volunteers, great partnerships with other organizations, the support our donors and fun- ders, and the hard work of our staff, board and committee members.

We thank everyone who has played a part in our success!

Ann E. Zellmer Joy Banish President, Board of Directors Executive Director
