MEETING VENUE Venue of the SiS.net network meeting and training is the Westin Zagreb Hotel located in the Zagreb city centre at Kršnjavoga 1, 10 000 Zagreb, Croatia.

ACCOMMODATION We have reserved rooms at the Westin hotel for participants within special rates that are valid until March 5th under booking reference SiS.net.

The price including breakfast is: 110.00 EUR per single use room per night 130.00 EUR per double use per night

Reservation form for Westin Zagreb hotel is enclosed in the invitation e-mail together with the practical information. Please fill it in and send it directly to the hotel via e-mail [email protected], mentioning the booking reference SiS.net, no later than by March 5th

Please note! Hotel booking should be arranged and paid by the participants directly. Non- beneficiaries will then get the cost reimbursed according to SiS.net rules.

AIRPORT AND TRANSFERS Zagreb Franjo Tuđman http://www.zagreb-airport.hr/en

• By bus and tram The bus from the airport (the Pleso prijevoz) leaves every 30 min to and from the airport (12:00, 12.30, etc.). In the evening, the bus leaves from the airport after each flight until approx. 11 p.m. The bus will bring you to the Main Bus Station in less than half an hour. Tickets cost 30 kuna (approx. 4 EUR) and can be bought in the bus. At the Bus Station take Tram no. 2 direction Črnomerec and get of at the fifth stop called Vodnikova Street. Then walk straith, cross the streat and you will see the WESTIN hotel across the streath on your right. Tram tickets can be bought in the tram as well as at the kiosk for 4 kuna (0,6 EUR) in one direction and they are valid for 30 minutes. • By taxi The easiest way to get from to the venue is by taxi or Westin transport service. You can get a taxi at the Airport or order other companies such as Radio Taxi, Cammeo, Eco Taxi, etc. It will cost approx. 30 EUR. • Westin transport service You can book Westin transport service few days in advance at [email protected]. It costs approx. 40 EUR for 3 persons or 45 EUR for 8 persons.

BUSINESS HOURS Most institutions are open from Monday to Friday 9.00-20:00. Shops are open also on Saturdays. Only few shops in the city centre are open on Sundays.

CLIMATE Zagreb has continental climate and four distinct seasons. Spring is the nicest time of the year in Zagreb, with temperatures up to 30 °C towards the end of May. TIPS ABOUT ZAGREB • While in Zagreb you should not miss the exhibition about Nikola Tesla – Mind from the Future that will be opened until 20 March 2018 (http://teslamindfromthefuture.com/en/) • Old part of Zagreb - Upper Town is within walking distance. • Keep an eye open for: o The Museum of Broken Relationships, a unique museum in the world o Colourful Church of St Mark just across the parliament o The where fresh products are often sold by local producers o The smallest funicular in the world o Kamenita Vrata (Stone gate), the Cathedral • The historic city centre will be illuminated in lights during the Festival of lights just at the time of your arrival.
