NAVY BALL CELEBRATED AT KOCHI

Vice KN Sushil, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief Southern Naval Command inaugurate the Navy Ball by ‘rolling the Navy Ball’

The Navy Ball and the Navy Queen Pageant, were held on 5th December this year at the Southern Naval Command Officers' Mess, Naval Base, Kochi. The Navy Ball commenced with the traditional 'Navy Ball' being rolled by KN Sushil, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command. The 10 finalists of the Navy Queen Pageant cat walked on the dais with loud cheers from the appreciative audience. The beauty pageant was interspersed with the sizzling performance by “Carl Fernais & The Illusion”, “Immortals (Mumbai)”, and DJ Rajan.

The event kicked off with the whacky and never short-of-wit words hosted by Nazir Kazi and Dilruba Pandey. They managed to pull out an encore performance and participation from young and old alike. The Navy Ball dance floor was simply electrifying and swinging with a large crowd of fun-loving people. It was indeed a sight to see the Naval officers and their partners gyrating to the pulsating music. The youngsters flaunted their gorgeous partners at the party and set the dance floor on fire.

Ms Neha Ramesh Ms Sneha Gautam and Ms Henna were adjudged this year's Navy Queen, first runner-up and second runner-up respectively by the jury of Mrs. Letha Sushil, Surgeon (Mrs.) Nirmala Kannan, Command Medical Officer, Rear Admiral G Ashok Kumar, Flag Officer Sea Training, Mr Rajesh Madan, GM Le Meridian, Mrs Molly Cyril, Principal Choice School and Lieutenant Kaustab Banerjee of INS Garuda. The Navy Queen wins return ticket for London, Cash Prize, jewellery from TBZ and other attractive prizes.

The first runner-up gets return ticket for Paris, cash prize, jewellery from TBZ & other attractive prizes. The second runner-up flies to Dubai on single return ticket, gets cash prize, jewellery from TBZ & other attractive prizes.

The Navy ball had an excellent mix of uniformed Naval officers and civilian dignitaries who danced till the wee hours of the morning.
