ASX RELEASE 31 January 2017 NEGOTIATIONS WITH WIN CORPORATION Southern Cross Media Group Limited (ASX:SXL) (SCA) announces that it has entered into discussions with WIN Corporation for the sale by SCA of its northern NSW (NNSW) television assets and operations to WIN and the acquisition of WIN’s i98FM Wollongong radio station. Under an affiliation agreement with Network Ten, SCA broadcasts Ten programming in the NNSW television licence area. The affiliation agreement is for a five year term ending on 30 June 2021. Completion of the proposed transaction with WIN will be subject to consent from Network Ten. WIN already broadcasts Ten programming in several regional television licence areas, including regional Victoria, southern NSW and regional Queensland. The proposed transaction would enable WIN to sell advertising for Ten programming in the four aggregated regional markets on the eastern seaboard. SCA has a program supply agreement with the Nine Network under which SCA broadcasts Nine programming in regional Victoria, southern NSW (including Wollongong) and regional Queensland. SCA also provides national sales services for Nine’s NBN channel in NNSW, providing advertisers with a centralised port of call for their regional advertising on Nine’s content along the eastern seaboard. SCA has 68 regional radio stations, but does not currently operate a radio station in the Wollongong licence area. The proposed transaction would create a multimedia market for SCA with the ability to cross sell radio and television in this market. SCA will make a further announcement if agreement is reached on the transaction proceeding. MEDIA RELEASE 19 October 2019 Jonesy & Amanda win Best On-Air Team FM at Radio Awards Successful WSFM breakfast hosts Jonesy and Amanda (Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller), have been crowned Best On- Air Team (Metro FM category) at the 31st Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), announced this evening at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane. The Best On-Air Team (Metro AM) was won by Afternoons with Erin Molan & Natalie Peters, the first female duo to host a news/talk show on 2GB and the first all-female team to win this award in ACRAs history. NOVA’s popular drive show Kate, Tim & Marty won Best Networked Program and Best Syndicated Australian Program. Best Entertainment Presenter went to Triple M funny man Lawrence Mooney, while Rebecca Morse, half of Hit107 Adelaide’s new breakfast duo Bec & Cosi, won Best Newcomer On-Air. MEDIA RELEASE Embargoed October 15, 2011 10.00pm – AEST Kyle and Jackie O regain crown at Radio Awards The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Southern Cross Austereo’s top rating breakfast show, has won the Best On-Air Team (Metro FM) category, at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRA) announced this evening at Jupiters on the Gold Coast. The breakfast program has consistently achieved high ratings in its competitive timeslot in Sydney and last won the top ACRA accolade for two years running in 2006 and 2007. Winner of the Best On-Air Team (Metro AM) is well-known Melbourne 3AW breakfast team, Ross Stevenson and John Burns. Last year’s on-air team winners, Fox FM’s Hamish and Andy won a gong this year for Best Station Promotion for their The Thank You Tour. 3AW's Neil Mitchell won the Best Talk Presenter Award and last year’s inductee to the Hall of Fame, 3AW’s Derryn Hinch, won Best Current Affairs Presenter, which was accepted on his behalf by his wife, Chanel. Ray Hadley of 2GB received the award for Best Networked Program. It’s the second Best On Air Team win for the duo, who have been together on air for nine years and first won the category in 2012. Executive producer of the show Laura Viglino won Best Show Producer (Entertainment/Music) and Jonesy and Amanda also took out best Syndicated Program for their national weekly show My Generation. Winner of the Best On-Air Team (Metro AM) was won by 3AW Melbourne’s top rating breakfast team, Ross Stevenson and John Burns. Continuing to dominate their time slot in Melbourne having won more than 100 surveys, this is their third Best On-Air Team (AM) award, having taken out the category in 2011 and 2013. MEDIA RELEASE 12 August 2013 Finalists announced for 2013 Radio Awards The finalists in the 25th annual Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) were announced today with popular DAB+ digital only stations up for awards in two categories; Best Digital Radio Format, Long Term and Best Digital Radio Format, Short Term.
