Narrative

This proposal supports the Cornwall Council submission for Divisions 50 and 52. The name St Stephen-in-Brannel would be an appropriate name for Division 50 as the division consists only of polling districts of that parish.

Division 52 consists of the whole of the parish of and Treverbyn would be a suitable name for the division although we also support the name Penwithick, Stenalees and Boscoppa which includes the main villages. Although the electorate is low it will soon be boosted by the electors in the new Ecotown.

Part of the parish of , polling district AER 1, which includes the village of Summercourt has already been included in Division 42 Ladock, Probus and Summercourt. Division 49 consists of the remainder of the St Enoder parish and the whole of the St Dennis parish. These areas have a great deal in common and the villages are very similar in their demography and housing. St Dennis and Indian Queens would be an appropriate name for this division.

The remainder of the network area creates a division centred on the villages of Roche and Bugle. The polling district ELN2 from the parish would increase the electorate closer to the required average but this would mean splitting another parish between two divisions so that polling district has been included with Division 66, . The name Roche and Bugle would be appropriate for Division 51.

The split of AAM3 is shown on the maps on the following pages and the area that comes in to this division consists of a great deal of new-build on the southern side of the A390 (Cromwell Road) which abuts the APT1 polling district. Narrative

We support the Cornwall Council submission the river would be sensible however this does for this Community Network Area. The give an odd configuration of divisions when Padstow division (58) is a logical area based combining each side with the rural on the town of Padstow. The villages in this hinterland. division are similar in nature with good We feel splitting Wadebridge in a NE to SW communications and share schools and direction makes sense and creates 2 divisions services. that contain similar communities and villages There is sadly no alternative but to split the all of whom look towards Wadebridge as town of Wadebridge. To split the town along their local town.

Narrative

This proposal supports the Cornwall Council submission with one exception. It is felt that the Parish (PD EPK) creates an unnecessary appendage to the Lostwithiel Division and that it remains in the neighbouring and Community Network Area.

Division 64 - St. Blazey The Parish of St. Blaise creates a Division within numbers. An obvious name for this Division is St. Blazey . 5282 electors

Division 65 - Fowey, and Par In the South of the Community Network area the Parishes of Tywardreath and Par, St. Sampson and Fowey create an obvious Division. The preferred name is Fowey, Tywardreath and Par. 4685 electors

Division 66 - Lostwithiel The remaining parishes in the St Blazey, Fowey & Lostwithiel Community Network create a third Division within numbers. The seat covers 7 Parishes and many villages with the town of Lostwithiel. All these parishes look to Lostwithiel as their nearest and main town so the preferred name for this division is Lostwithiel. 4730 electors

Narrative

We support the Cornwall Council submission shaped but it does consist of villages that are for this Community Network Area. There is a similar in nature and share similar issues. mix of coastal and rural villages plus the town The Camelford and Boscastle division (68) of Camelford but the parish electorates make consists of the town of Camelford and the it difficult to create a division that runs along parishes to the east and north that look to the north coast and an other rural division Camelford as their nearest town and provider centred on Camelford without splitting of services. We support the name of parishes. Camelford and Boscastle.

The , St Teath and St Breward division (67) is well named. It is slightly oddly

Narrative We support the Cornwall Council submission We support the name Bude and Stratton for for this Community Network Area. We division 70 and accept where the polling welcome the splitting of the Bude polling district NBB has been split although it would district to enable 2 single seat divisions based be preferable to only split this once and not on the town. The geography of this area does twice. not allow many permutations and we think The name for division 71 is quite long but we the configuration below is the best possible. have no objections to the name Flexbury, The Poundstock division (69) is well named. We have no strong feelings about a Division 76 - Liskeard West & Rural name for this Division and suggest Looe Rural. The Final Division in this Community Network is the Division 74 - Looe current Liskeard West Ward and the small part of Liskeard East of the Liskeard Town Council area. To The Town of Looe is of a size which fits into one this we would add the Parishes of Dobwalls and Division but is too small to be on its own. To remedy , Morval and remaining part of . this we have included the parish of St. Martin-by-Looe Whilst this Division is slightly over 10% by around 31 and the Seaton Division of the Deviock Parish.
