Coalfields Community Investment Programme (England) North West Region - Eligible Wards We use the Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2019 (IMD2019) as a tool to help target our resources at the most deprived coalfield communities: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/english-indices-of-deprivation-2019 High priority wards are amongst some of the most deprived communities in the coalfields and have an average deprivation score for the ward that ranks in the top 30% most deprived nationally.
