It is my pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to all involved in the 2011 New Zealand Under 15 and Under 17 National Badminton Championships. Palmerston North is accustomed to playing host to North Island championship events so it is exciting to have the event elevated to national status. We extend a very warm welcome to all teams and competitors visiting for the championships, whether you are a regular visitor to our city or this is the first time you have travelled here to play badminton. I hope you will have a most successful competition, and challenge you all to compete to your full potential. I am sure this will prove a memorable occasion. Palmerston North prides itself on its vision of ‘young heart and easy living’ and being an exciting city in which to live, learn, work and play. Box C is Division Two – 8 teams Box A & B play a round-robin competition within their box; they then play a cross-over semi-final with the winners and losers of the semi-finals playing each other.
