Israel's small size and varied landscape make cycling through the country a unique experience – what takes many days in other countries is accomplished here in just a few. Forests, streams, urban and rural landscapes and the extreme desert in the south are only a few of the wonderful features bicycle riders can enjoy over a short period of time.

Israel provides tastes and aromas of almost everything: traditional farming villages and Bedouin hospitality, boutique wines and modern agriculture – only a short ride from busy modern cities.

During our excursion we will cross Israel on KKL-JNF bicycle trails from north to south, discovering all its distinctive features. We will explore the mountainous Upper Galilee learning about how KKL-JNF is rehabilitating the forests burnt during the Second Lebanese war and ride through the Hula Valley with its amazing birds. We will ride along the green fields and villages of the Lower Galilee and proceed from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on the newly developed bicycle path KKL-JNF gave the State of Israel as a gift for its 60th Anniversary. We will experience the vast expanses of the desert, getting to know this special land with both its Jewish farmers and the Bedouins and their lifestyle and then ride down through the arid wilderness to Eilat on the gleaming Red Sea.
