Temporary Closure of Stoke Road
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Stoke Road from the junction with Haydon Lane, southwards for a distance of 1300 metres.
This order will enable A-PlantLux on behalf of openreach, works access for cable replacement as part of BDUK network scheme.
The Order becomes effective on 02 March 2015 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 5 days. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
From the southern end of the closure proceed in south easterly, south westerly and north westerly directions along Stoke Road and Downsland Way to the junction with Chestnut Drive. Turn right and proceed in a north easterly direction along Chestnut Drive to the junction with Haydon Lane. Turn right and proceed in an easterly direction along Haydon Lane to the junction with Stoke Road. Turn right and proceed in a south westerly direction along Stoke Road to the northern end of the closure, and vice versa
