    TIGER SOFTBALL BY THE NUMBERS WOMEN’S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES MOST NFCA ALL-TIME RANKING 1 OUTSTANDING PLAYER 9 LSU ranks No. 9 in the NFCA All-time poll, the highest ranking of any team in the SEC. In addition, the Tigers are the youngest team ranked in the top 10. Kristin Schmidt earned Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player honors at the 2004 WCWS, making her the only player to not win the national championship and earn the honor. ALL-AMERICANS 10 The Tigers have 10 NFCA All-Americans in the 10-year history of the program, WOMEN’S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES APPEARANCES the most of any school in SEC history. 2 LSU is one of only three schools in SEC history with multiple Women’s College World Series appearances and a winning record in WCWS play.
