Bobby Reeves ACU head softball coach Bobby Reeves recently finished his Reeves played football for West Texas State University, now West Texas A&M University, in third winning season in as many years as his 2013 Wildcats won Canyon, Texas, before graduating from LCU with a degree in Kinesiology. 28 games en route to a second consecutive appearance at the Lone Star Conference Championship. Reeves and his wife, Robin, have been married for over 30 years and have two sons, Tanyon and Tagen, and three grandchildren. An eight-year coaching veteran whose previous stops included Texas State and Texas Tech, Reeves celebrated his 200th career victory on March 3 after the Wildcats edged Northeastern Reeves’ Year-By-Year Head Coaching Record State, 2-1. Reeves’ first ACU team also won 28 times, while his Year School Overall Conference NCAA Postseason 2012 squad qualified for NCAA Regionals behind an overall Record Record record of 30-18. 2000 Texas State 35-24 16-11 None 2001 Texas Tech 37-24 10-8 NCAA Regionals Reeves overhauled the starting lineup prior to 2012 and re - 2002 Texas Tech 13-40 2-16 None cruited a fine collection of veteran transfers that immediately 2003 Texas Tech 22-41 4-14 None changed the program’s fortunes for the better. Centerfielder 2004 Texas Tech 22-36 2-16 None Keanna Winkfield earned three all-region citations and made 2011 Abilene Christian 28-27 11-10 None two all-conference teams during her two seasons, while Courtney Flanary was named the LSC’s 2012 Abilene Christian 30-18 15-11 NCAA Regionals Newcomer of the Year in 2012 on top of receiving first team honors. 2013 Abilene Christian 28-26 12-15 None Eight-Year Totals 215-236 (.477) 72-111 (.393) Flanary is one of four all-conference first team selections coached by Reeves at ACU. He’s also had five players named to the second team and three tabbed to the third team. Reeves’ players also have excelled in the classroom as evidenced by three academic all-district Debby and Teddy Abbott selections, five academic all-conference honorees and six NFCA all-America Scholar Athletes. Assistant Coach / Vol. Assistant Coach Pitcher Shelby Hall was Reeves’ most decorated student-athlete and will be attending the Texas Tech School of Law starting this fall. Debby and Teddy Abbott are in their second seasons as assis - tant coaches at Abilene Christian. The husband and wife pair Prior to his arrival at ACU Reeves spent two seasons as the assistant coach at Harding Univer - were named to their current positions in the spring

    TIGER SOFTBALL BY THE NUMBERS WOMEN’S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES MOST NFCA ALL-TIME RANKING 1 OUTSTANDING PLAYER 9 LSU ranks No. 9 in the NFCA All-time poll, the highest ranking of any team in the SEC. In addition, the Tigers are the youngest team ranked in the top 10. Kristin Schmidt earned Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player honors at the 2004 WCWS, making her the only player to not win the national championship and earn the honor. ALL-AMERICANS 10 The Tigers have 10 NFCA All-Americans in the 10-year history of the program, WOMEN’S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES APPEARANCES the most of any school in SEC history. 2 LSU is one of only three schools in SEC history with multiple Women’s College World Series appearances and a winning record in WCWS play. WINS PER SEASON 53 LSU is averaging more than 53 wins a season over the past nine years, the sec- ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS ond best average in the nation. 2 The Tigers have had two CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in the nine-year history of the program, while no program in the SEC has had more than three.
