Bio

Born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and grew up in the small town of Isafjordur. Raised on amateur theatre, music and various performances. Moved to Reykjavik (2005) and began a professional career in performance lighting. Moved to (2007). Graduated (B.A. Hons) in Lighting Design from The Central School of Speech & Drama (2009) and M.A, in Performance Design and Practice from Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design (2013). Received student award from the Association of Lighting Designers for B.A. work. Presented M.A. work at various international conferences and publications. Joined Theatre Projects Consultants (2013-2016) as a theatre consultant. Currently based in London and work freelance as a lighting designer, programmer, stage designer, re-lighter, consultant, mentor and Vectorworks specialist, providing training and support to e.g. the National Theatre, English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Association of Lighting Designers, various theatres, drama schools, Vectorworks UK and individuals. UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Projects include theatres, opera houses, concert halls, arenas, convention centres, purpose-built halls of spectacle and more. National Theatre of Iceland 2006-2007 Reykjavik City Theatre 2005-2006 Education Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design – M.A. 2011-2013 Research focused on reverse engineering the process of creating a performance.
