Can it get any better?

Well, it’s official. Billy Dawson has returned to the helm at the juggernaut that is Nashville Scrapper football. Dawson brings a pedigree straight out of a Hol- lywood script to the table. In fact the script was acted out seven years ago when Dawson returned to the school he grew up in, winning three consecutive state championships and accumulating only three losses in five years. As he returns, many might look at my analogy and ponder the fate of the sequel we are seemingly get- ting ready to watch play out at Scrapper stadium. Many sequels struggle to match the success of the original offering, but there are rare occasions when the sequel not only matches the success of the first but dares to exceed it. I had the pleasure of standing in the coach’s office yesterday waiting for an opportunity to talk with Coach Dawson. He stood quietly in the doorway as he waited for Athletic Director Bunch Nichols to finish his intro- duction. Just as an actor would wait for his cue, Dawson SOPA, PIPA and You stood patiently, gathering his thoughts, and as the introductions came to a close, he stepped onto the stage once more.
