Two field days cum Farmers-Scientist Interaction meet were organized under project “Strengthening extension education programme of developing innovative models and techniques for higher productivity and profitability in agriculture”with VO partner FARMER, at adopted villages of FARMER viz. Mohammadpur Kadeem, Modinagar, Ghaziabad and Rawali Kala, , Ghaziabad.

At the outset, Mr. Jagpal Singh- Secretary FARMER organization Ghaziabad welcomed the participant and informed about the status of demonstration trails. Dr. J.P.S. Dabas, Incharge CATAT expressed the need for timely and fast dissemination of important technologies through group mobalization and also informed about benefits of organic farming. Dr. Y. V. Singh informed about the importance and Use of Biofertilizers in sustainable crop production, Rapid composting techniques and Azolla. Farmers showed very keen interest in biofertilizers, rapid composting of biomass and organic farming. Dr. Pratibha Joshi, Nodal Officer under Collaborative Programme of ICAR- IARI informed the farmers about the objective and future prospects of the Programme and on the improved technologies and varieties of field crops. Dr. Anant Kumar, KVK, Ghaziabad, informed about the intercropping and improved horticultural technologies.
