2016-05-24 15:29 CEST Svenskfinal i Champions League Skyttedrottningen mot backstjärnan. På torsdag direktsänder Eurosport 1 damernas Champions League-final mellan Wolfsburg och Lyon. Med svenska landslagsstjärnorna Lotta Schelin och Nilla Fischer i huvudroller. De senaste årens dominanter inom europeisk klubbfotboll möts i en prestigefinal på Città del Tricolore i italienska Reggio Emillia klockan 18.00 torsdag 26 maj. Lyon med Lotta Schelin i laget vann damernas Champions League 2011 och 2012. Wolfsburg gjorde det 2013 och 2014, andra gången med Nilla Fischer i laget. Efter den här finalen blir något av lagen näst framgångsrikast i damernas Champions League med tre titlar. Förra årets vinnare Frankfurt har vunnit turneringen fyra gånger. För Lotta Schelin blir det sista matchen i Lyon. Laget hon representerat i åtta år och det vore förstås stort att avsluta den framgångsrika sejouren med ännu en titel. Schelin har redan varit med och vunnit Franska Ligan och Cupen med Lyon i år och har alltså chans att upprepa succén från 2012 och ta hem en trippel. Sammanlagt har skyttedrottningen gjort 223 mål för Lyon vilket är klubbrekord. Nilla Fischers Wolfsburg missade att försvara titeln i Frauen-Bundesliga (laget slutade tvåa bakom Bayern München) men vann den Tyska Cupen och en seger i Champions League skulle definitivt bättra på säsongen för tyskorna som tillskillnad från sina motståndare aldrig förlorat en final i Champions League. Senast lagen möttes i Champions League var i finalen 2013 då Wolfsburg vann med 1-0 på Stamford Bridge i London. An important premise for our work is the agenda theory, which states that media has great impact on what is on their audience mind. We chose to investigate how Aftonbladet wrote about two Swedish footballers, Lotta Schelin and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, during a European championship with each players national team. By using a method of critical discourse analysis based on Teun van Dijks idea and with gender glasses, we analysed eight articles and two chronicles regarding each player. Our results show that Aftonbladet construct and reproduce gender and gender order by its different ways of portraying Lotta Schelin and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Articles regarding Lotta Schelin tend to be more audience oriented, focus more on her and her teammates emotions and more often focus on things outside her profession as a footballer. On a contrary, articles regarding Zlatan Ibrahimovic tend to upgrade masculinity, power and more often highlights his performances on the pitch. He is also portrayed as a person of much greater status than Lotta Schelin.

It was a lot of emotion for me, because it comes after much time, work, and passion towards women's football and more particularly the OL Women's Team. When I created OL ANG'ELLES in 2011, I just wanted the fans and supporters to have an environment where they could regroup, live the games together, and be visible to cheer on the players. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that we would develop this much in 6 years. I could be proud, but it is the members who make the association live. If OL ANG'ELLES is today highly regarded by the players, and appreciated everywhere it goes, it is thanks to the members and their actions, and I would like to thank each and every one of them. The World Cup will take place in France in 2 years, women's soccer is rapidly developing, and everything is set for us to evolve likewise. As a consequence we rely more and more on our members and I thank all those – more and more numerous – who help us. Under några soldränkta veckor i juli månad engagerade mästerskapet hela Sverige. UEFA Dam-EM blev rekordens turnering – en succé vad gällde publiksiffror, tv-tittare, aktiviteter runt arenorna, samarbeten med destinationer och inte minst sportsligt. Sverige, som spelade alla sina matcher inför utsålda arenor, gjorde en strålande turnering, men föll knappt i semifinalen mot Tyskland. Finalen mellan Norge och Tyskland på Friends Arena i Solna lockade 41 301 åskådare, en publiksiffra som gav eko i hela fotbollsvärlden. När strålkastarna släcktes på Friends Arena den 28 juli var festen helt plötsligt över efter tre års intensivt arbete för SvFF, de sju städerna och de lokala organisationerna.
