    Purpose and History The Community Band of Brevard exists to educate its members, to entertain its audiences, and to serve its community. Our musical director is Mr. Marion Scott. Mr. Scott formed the Band in 1985 to provide a performance outlet for adult musicians in the area. AAA Announces New Competition Categories for Festival 2020 AAA Honors Categories This year’s AAA Competition will feature the addition of the newly created Honors Categories! 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be awarded in these divisions – and – the 1st place winner in each division will receive a cash award! Each contestant in the Honors Category will be required to perform TWO selections; one from the “Required Repertoire” list, and a piece of their own choice for the second. Music for the choice selection can be Open, Classical or Originals Written for Accor- dion – no Pop or Jazz. All other rules from the open categories will apply. The categories will consist of: Juniorette (up to 8 years of age), Junior (ages 9-11), Intermediate (ages 12-15), Senior (ages 16 and over), Virtuoso Category (maximum age 35), and an Adult Category. The Winner of the Virtuoso Category MAY represent the AAA at the Coupe Mondiale the following year, provided all the requirements for reper- toire are met.
