Ken Veney Bio Platinum Clubs KEN VENEY S A W G R A S S C O U N T R Y C L U B D I R E C T O R O F T E N N I S Ken came to Sawgrass Country Club directly from Sydney, Australia after spending almost three years as Director of Tennis Operations at The Royal Sydney Golf Club. Ken has directed programs at world renowned country clubs, resorts & tennis clubs for over 25 years. Ken was inducted into the United States Ken began his career competing in national Tennis Association Hall of Fame for the tournaments in Australia at the age of 10 & “Heart of America” district in 2013. In 2014 played on the ATP tour attaining a world he was inducted into the United States ranking in singles & doubles. Ken also Tennis Association Hall of Fame for the attained a world ranking from the ITF in Missouri Valley Section. He is a past USTA Men’s 35’s Singles and Doubles. Ken has President & a former VP of the U.S. played Hall of Fame legends Bjorn Borg, Professional Tennis Association. Yannick Noah, Johan Kriek, Gene Mayer, Hank Pfister and more and was a product of Ken has been named the USPTA the John Newcombe and Tony Roche junior Professional of the Year four times. Ken then became Club Manager/Head Professional of Millennium Tennis & Fitness. He oversaw construction of this $5 million facility. Ken was Tournament Director for the $15,000 Futures & $50,000 Challenger for players ranked in top 200 in the world before being named Director of Tennis and Swim at Hallbrook Country Club in Leawood, KS where he spent 10 years. After an extensive worldwide search he was named Director of Tennis Operations at the 6000 member Royal Sydney Golf Club. Royal Sydney hosted both Federation Cup as well as the Davis Cup between Australia and Switzerland featuring Roger Federer. Ken facilitated an interclub match with The All England Tennis and Croquet Club and an International match between France and Australia as well as a dynamic program consisting of clinics, programs and special events for all levels of play..
