Columbia County School Superintendent Terry Huddleston said Tuesday he reorganized the instruc- tional leadership at Niblack Elementary School, resulting in the principal’s replacement by the assistant principal. Marilyn Gassett, former principal of Niblack, was demoted to assistant principal at Pinemount Elementary School. The decision was ratified during Tuesday night’s School Board meeting when the board approved a list of personnel changes that included Gassett’s reassignment. She will start at Pinemount Elementary on Monday, but has taken the week off until then.
