“That this House resolves in pursuance of section 48 of the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act, 2010, the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Rules, 2011, published in the Gazette of India dated the 11th November, 2011 vide notification G.S.R. 804(E) and laid on the Table of the House on the 24th November, 2011, be modified as follows:—

1. That in rule 24, sub-rule 1, at page 25, the following words be deleted:

“or the value of the contract itself, whichever is less.”

2. That in rule 24, sub-rule 2, at page 25, the words “initial license issued under the Atomic Energy (Radiation Protection) Rules, 2004”, be substituted by “30 years”.

And

That this House recommends to Lok Sabha that Lok Sabha do concur in this Motion.”
