BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles: Front Row is a new concept placing the audience closer to the action.

In LA the fans can meet some of the best players and teams in the world, including the best team of them all: Team Liquid, who returns to US after winning the massive Intel Grand Slam in Cologne.

This is a guide with everything you need to know about Front Row. It will be different!

Coming straight from a winning streak in their four most recent tournaments winning the Intel Grand Slam at ESL One Cologne, the American superstars from Team Liquid will be roaming the halls of Front Row. They’re undisputedly the best Counter-Strike team in the world right now and Front Row will be your biggest chance to meet and hang out with the legends in person.

BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles: Front Row on July 13-14 is a brand new concept from BLAST Pro Series. Front Row will put you right next to the players in an old school, yet exclusive and premium, LAN party feeling. Whether you’re new to BLAST or you’ve joined us in the past, things are going to be a bit different. Here’s a compiled guide to Front Row that’ll take you through the new and exciting elements of the tournament.

What is Front Row? Front Row is the debut of an exciting concept from BLAST, introducing open production area with studios, stages and exclusive team zones where fans are much closer to all the players, talent, media and production crew. Major changes to the format include two BO3 semifinals after the five initial group stage rounds. Only two games will be played simultaneously during the group stage matches except for the fifth and final round where three matches will be played like usual. The prize pool remains a staggering $250,000.

Fans are basically invited into the engine room of a premier Counter-Strike tournament. It gives an insight into the thousands of interesting things going on during a tournament that a fan will never see otherwise.

The set-up planned for Front Row will be a more compressed version of the BLAST Pro Series you’re used to, but a priority has been to maintain the feeling of a premium Counter-Strike tournament, so consider it a high production-value LAN tournament with some of the best teams in the world attending and walking around side-by-side with the fans. Team Liquid is the undisputed team to beat at BLAST Front Row having just won ESL One Cologne and the Intel Grand Slam. The North-American superteam recently dethroned Astralis as the best team in the world and have continued to display utter dominance in the global Counter-Strike scene. Local fans can be assured to show up and cheer with an incredible amount of confidence for this world-class team. Cloud9 has been through a lot of changes since winning the Boston Major last year. Started off by losing Stewie2k to MIBR, and later tarik left as well. Ever since then Cloud9 have tried various options and none of them has been successful. They have now faced the consequences and realized they need to rebuild from scratch with a completely new roster with only autimatic remaining from the old squad. It’s difficult to say anything about their current form but they might surprise at Front Row.
