On December 8th Pope Francis released the Apostilic Letter “Patris corde” (With a Father’s Heart”). In the Let- ter he proclaimed this year as the Year of St. Joseph in recognition of the 150th Anniversary of his being named as Patron of the Universal Church. (A link to the letter is available on our parish website). Below is his prayer to St. Joseph. Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To you God entrusted his only Son; in you Mary placed her trust; with you Christ became man. Blessed Joseph, to us too, show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life. Obtain for us grace, mercy and courage, and defend us from every evil. Amen.

Stewardship Moment

In today’s Gospel and in the reading from the letter of St. Paul we hear of the gift of the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In our devotional life we make the sign of the cross and recite the “Glory Be” as an expression of our faith as a Trinitarian people. But what does it mean for Christian stew- ards to accept in a practical way the experience of God in this three-fold gift? Is it not a call to share our own life in community, with compassion and love, and to work for healing, justice, peace and unity? Is it not an invitation to invite others into fellowship with us in the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

Thank You and God Bless You

Thank you to everyone who has dropped off or mailed in their weekly envelopes and all those who signed up for on-line giving. We truly appreciate your gift during the time of the pandemic.
