This concert will also feature a special tribute to our Dominic Marino, director veterans and Glenn Miller’s Army Air Corps Band. Location: Corbett Auditorium Tickets: $12 general admission, $6 non-UC students, UC students FREE _____ 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 JAZZ LAB BAND Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab Band Featuring Musical Theatre Dancers Scott Belck and Dominic Marino, conductors Dominic Marino, director Diane Lala, choreographer “Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker Suite” Duke Ellington recorded The Nutcracker Suite for the Columbia label in 1960, featuring jazz interpretations of well-known melodies by Tchaikovsky. As a special Christmas treat, the Musical Theatre dancers join CCM Jazz to transform the Nutcracker Suite’s romantic orchestrations into jumpin’ jazz melodies.
