Pokémon 2015-2016 Season Standard Format Legal Card List Note: Update in Progress Play! Pokémon 2015-2016 Season Standard Format Legal Card List Note: Update in Progress The following is the updated version of all English released cards that are legal for the Standard Format, 2015- 2016 season starting September 1st, 2015 (with Ancient Origins becoming legal on Sep 2nd. The Standard Format only permits cards from the most recent Pokémon Trading Card Game sets, however these sets sometimes contain reprinted cards from older sets, making those older cards also legal in the Standard Format. A deck must also contain 60 cards, have at least one Pokemon in it, and cannot have more than 4 cards of any single name. Note that "Venusaur", "Venusaur EX", and "M Venusaur EX" are all different names and so up to 4 of each would be allowed in a deck. Basic Energy cards have no name and so are not limited to 4 copies per type. Note: All cards, including promos, are not legal until 21 days after their release. If you are unsure about the legality of a recently released card, please check with your Tournament Organizer to be sure your deck is legal. If you are playing a card that has had text significantly modified in later printings, you must have a copy of a card with the most recent printing outside your deck available as a reference for your opponent. In a few cases, if a card has changed dramatically from it's originally named version, the old version is not allowed at all (Pokémon Center, for example). Older cards that will require this reference are marked in the list below with this: Major text change. Requires reference. Cards that have received an errata (official correction or change) will not need a reference as players and judges are expected to be aware of errata. Check the Errata section of the Compendium for a complete list of official errata. Changes to the List: • We have revised the format of the Legal Card List and have given it a webpage of its own. This should make it more user friendly and easier to find/link to. • Basic Energy cards are always legal, no matter what set they are from, so we have discontinued listed them in older sets for space consideration. • We have removed the rarity reference for the older cards and have instead listed the abbreviation {XXX} for the most recent currently legal set that they are reprinted in. Updated September 1st, 2015 with Ancient Origins and newly legal cards from older sets that were reprinted. A listing of all sets and their set symbols may be found in the Researching Tower here: http://pokegym.net/tower/ Images of all legal cards may also be found there. Afterwards, tap the center of the Pokéball for Professor Rowan to show off Munchlax in an exposition. Once he's finished, choose either the male or female character by highlighting and then selecting them (whichever you choose will not determine the course of the story or gameplay). Choose a name for your character, confirm it, then use either one of the default names for your rival or choose his name as well. For the course of this walkthrough, we shall refer to him as Rival. Confirm his name as well, and then you will be shrunk and put into the game world.

  • Pokémon in Organized Crime
Letter from the Chair Hello, Pokémon Trainers! I welcome you all, with building anticipation and excitement, to the first PokéMUN session at the fourth annual Winchester Model United Nations conference (and it’s virtual!) My name is Elina Chen, and I will be serving as your Chair for this specialized committee. I am currently a senior at Winchester High School, and this is my fourth year in the school’s Model United Nations Club, which I now serve as a club officer for. I have overseen previous committee sessions at WinMUN, and I regularly attend national Model UN conferences each year as well. Aside from being a member of MUN, I am also the president of the school’s Anime Club. I take pride in being an otaku, and Pokémon was the first anime I ever watched as I grew up, although it was quite a long time ago. PokéMUN will be a learning experience for me, so if anyone feels nervous about their lack of Pokémon knowledge, don’t worry! People all over the world fear that societal order will collapse due to the power imbalance that comes with the introduction of Pokémon, and are calling for immediate actions to implement regulations for moderating this uncontrolled power. During the committee sessions, we will be discussing one of the two topics provided to you: Pokémon Labor Rights and Pokémon Organized Crime. There will not be any specific storyline you need to follow, since you will be writing the stories yourselves with the background guide as a foundation. Everyone will have their individual stances on each of the topics, and your goal will be to pass regulations in your favor.

  • May I Have This Dance? Pokémon Video Game Showdown 2008 Los Angeles National Qualifier
Christopher Halordain Tsai Saturday, July 12, 2008 California Science Center: Los Angeles, CA May I Have This Dance? Pokémon Video Game Showdown 2008 Los Angeles National Qualifier Introducing my team… Surf Supremum: Starters: Viterbi the Vaporeon: Surf/Shadow Ball/Rain Dance/Protect… Modest, @ Chesto Berry Lagrangian the Ludicolo: Surf/Ice Beam/Fake Out/Protect…Timid, @ Lum Berry Reserves: Kolmogorov the Kingdra: Surf/Ice Beam/Rain Dance/Protect…Modest, @ Life Orb Laplacian the Lapras: Surf/Blizzard/Thunder/Protect…Modest, @ Sitrus Berry Friday, July 11, 2008: My stay in Los Angeles officially began when I disembarked from my Southwest Airlines flight into LAX, the airport nearest my hotel. Along the way, my cab driver showed me the Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers and this year’s NBA Finals. My mind also wandered to the Wimbledon, another sporting event whose mystifying aura I longed to experience. Sometimes, competition completely changes the feel of a location, and I secretly wished for a similar milieu at the next day’s tournament. That night, I dined on the 36th floor of the Westin Bonaventure, in a famed steakhouse known as L.A. Prime. I met Shelley Ackerman, a high schooler that I hosted at Stanford, at the restaurant, and I ordered a Filet Mignon. During dinner, I showed her a typical Pokémon battle between my two training cartridges, one of which controlled my main team (Vaporeon/Ludicolo/Kingdra/Lapras), the other of which contained my archnemesis (Smeargle/Bronzong/Machamp/Snorlax). My fast-paced team’s greatest weakness was the Trick Room team, so I commonly battled these two parties for practice.
