Kathy Smith was born on Friday, June 22, 1962 to Anna Lois Smith and Parting View The Family James Wesley Smith who she has now joined in heaven. She was second Prayer oldest of four sisters; Vickie Smith, Toni Lynn Carlton (Kevin) and Diane Smith, who preceded her in death. She spent twenty-four years of her life Scripture with her significant other, Ivery Charles Ford. Selection I Won’t Complain Phillip Jones Kathy attended Robert A. Taft High School. She worked as a Home Health Acknowledgements Aide care provider for years. She took extreme pride in making her clients Remarks happy. No matter how late she went to bed, she was always up early, eager for work. Always a hard worker, she got her business taken care of Selection Take Me to the King Ruth Russ regardless of what she had going on personally. Eulogy Bishop Frank Tolliver Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family. Always looking forward to Benediction traditional holiday gatherings with big meals, she was known for her Recessional Clergy and Family special cheeseball and macaroni and cheese. She was everyone’s “go to” person. She welcomed anyone who needed her listening ear or shoulder to cry on. People respected her for her positivity and wisdom. She was a very beautiful person, inside and out. Kathy loved going the extra mile to help others. She loved her weekly television shows: “For Better or Worse”, “Big Brother”, “The Haves and the Have Nots”, “Empire”, “Basketball Wives”, “Love and Hip Hop”, and ”. Her other hobbies included playing the lottery, attending events, and enjoying life. Her favorite saying was “At the end of the day it is…” Kathy always put a smile on the face of others with her laughter. She often spoke her mind to help people realize “life is too short.” She loved everyone. Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter Lakida Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her children Antwain (Sheri), and Karita Smith; grandchildren Antwain, Jr., Makeda, Khar’e, Pa’Shence, Tobias and Amore; great-grandchildren Antwain, III, and Antwa’Nea; siblings, Debbie Taylor (Mike), Tasha Williams (Troy), Teri Morris (Willie), Melvina Hickson (Donte) and Rodney Davenport; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her extended children she took Repast in as her own.
