c. Description of Problem: THIS DELIMITED INSULT TOWARDS OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS IS UNACCEPTABLE! THIS IGNORANCE CAN BE TOLERATED CONCERNING OUR GOVERNMENT OR CANADIANS IN GENERAL BUT NOT OUR MILITARY! MY SON WAS KILLED BY AN lED ATTACK IN KANDAHAR CITY, DECEMBER 13TH,2008. IT IS STRONG, UNIQUE, BRAVE MEN AS HE AND HIS FELLOW COMRADES THAT DO NOT DESERVE THIS UNPRECEDENTED, UNREPENTANT INSULT! THERE ARE BOUNDARIES TO SATIRIZING AND THIS IS BEYOND! Punishment, resulting in the resignation of Greg Gutfelds and his pathetic "anchor team" is the adequate apology needed to make amends. c. Description of Problem: Mr. Greg Gutfeld and by extension FOX NEWS have been promoting Hate and intolerance. Under the guise of "wit and satire" He has issued slanderous hateful insults about a Commanding General of the Canadian Armed Forces, the fallen Canadian soldiers who have died defending the United States Foreign Policies, the families and loved ones of those brave men and women, and about 33,212,696 Canadians. Mr. Gutfeld has since made an insincere and unprofessional "apology". Yet FOX NEWS has not apologized. Nor have they taken steps to keep this person from repeating this same crime again. I thought the United States. had laws governing its people, that you have broadcast standards? I am fully expecting a lack of interest on your part. Since I now have such a jaded and low opinion of the American media, why should you shock me with professionalism and integrity. c. Description of Problem: Fox News allowed unfortunate and distasteful 'humour' about Canada and our armed forces. It was hurtful and immature material presented at a time when we have fallen soldiers coming home from a war effort in support of the U.S. endeavour in Afghanistan. People were speaking ignorantly apparently to get a laugh. I will be contacting my satellite TV provider to ask them to remove FOX from their programming. Thank you for this venue to lodge a complaint. PS. I had to select a state and zip code to submit this, but I am a Canadian citizen living in Canada.

c. Description of Problem: Comments towards Canada and its military extend beyond being offensive. It is a shameful offense that this program is even allowed to air under the so-called guise of "comedy" and "satire." It is unbelievable that this is allowed to air and it only promotes hatred towards the United States of America and its people. Therefore, it should be considered dangerous programming.

Andrew Leslie's recent comment that the military may need a year ·to recover after Canada's mission in Afghanistan ends in 2011.Meaning, the Canadian military wants to take a breather to do some yoga, paint landscapes, run on the beach in gorgeous white Capri pants," Gutfeld said.! didn't even know they were in the war," panellist and comedian Doug Benson added. "I thought that's where you go if you don't want to fight. Go chill in Canada.The panellists continued by joking about soldiers needing a break for "manicures and pedicures," how Canada should be invaded and poked fun at the RCMP. The show providied an unfair comment and a baised opinion against Canada and the Canadian Military and suggested a terorist act against a

sovereigen nation.

Description of Problem: As I'm sure by now you have received numerous complaints about Mr Greg Gutfield's show Red Eye the comments he made about our Canadian troops needing a break from the Afghan mission. These comments were in my mind very biaised against us. We have contributed much to that mission & sacrificed much as well. I understand what is meant to achieve with satire however, mocking one's sacrifice & hardships isn't funny. Yes I understand he has apologized for his comments, but I feel that it is too little too late. I would like financial sanctions placed on him & his station for allowing those comments to make the airways. How can that station expect other countries to come & assit the USA if all they will get is laughed at for their sacrifice?

c. Description of Problem: Mr. Gutfeld's irresponsible rant on the Cdn population is obscene. The above noted date is approximate but the rant can be located on YouTube and numerous other media outlets have picked it up as an example on how to alienate the remainder of the world. In a week where Canadians are burying 4 troops while supporting a war led by the Americains, his comments and opinions are insulting, obscene, ignorant, offensive and brutal. This turkey should not be allowed to spew his venom inciting hatred.

c. Description of Problem: As a Canadian viewer I object strenuously to the libelous comments made by Greg Gutfield and Doug Benson about our military's participation in the Afghan War. "The Canadian military wants to take a breather to do some yoga, paint landscapes, run on the beach in gorgeous white capri pants." There are numerous other references which undermine and demean the 115 Canadian soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in supporting NATO in this war on terror. These comments are beyond fair comment and if the same comments were applied to American soldiers would be subject to severe rebuke. Would it be far comment to malign the efforts made by other allied soldiers during Korea and WWII? What would occur if a Canadian program maligned individual American soldiers as whimps? It wouldn't see much air time in the US and for good reason. I don't expect any action based on your 1st Amendment protections but I wish to register my strong objection to this seedy yellow journalism.
