It’s Rock ‘n Roll at Charterhouse Auction

Charterhouse have been instructed to sell an important collection of personal rock „n roll memorabilia relating to , , Paul McCartney and Wings in their two day auction of collectors‟ items on Thursday 16th & Friday 17th December.

“The collection, estimated at over £20,000, has been formed by Howie and Sheila Casey from the 1960‟s onwards.” Commented Richard Bromell. “Both Howie and Sheila have been professional musicians for more years than they care to remember, and have decided that now is the right time to pass the collection over to a new generation of enthusiasts.”

Howie Casey started his music career in the 1950‟s and formed his first band, Howie Casey and the Seniors in in 1960 which featured Freddie Star on vocals. Howie then went on to play with Cliff Richard, , The Who, Mott the Hoople, Wings and ABC. Sheila and her sister Jeanette, formed The McKinley Sisters in the early 1960‟s and toured with The Beatles in 1964 which is when she was given a full set of Beatles autographs worth thousands of pounds today.

Included in the sale are personal items including photographs of Howie and Paul McCartney, a postcard from the McCartney‟s, play lists for Wings, promotional records, back stage passes, clothing and other items.
