Kľúčové slová: intertextualita, Metalocalypse, kultúrne odkazy 1 Úvod Na Slovensku nie príliš známy animovaný seriál Metalocalypse sa v Spojených štátoch americ- kých teší mimoriadnej obľube. Vysielaný je od roku 2006 na káblovej stanici Adult Swim. Doposiaľ vznikli štyri série a jeden strednometrážny televízny film, čo sa na prvý pohľad nemusí zdať veľa, avšak už teraz možno seriál označiť za kultový. Seriál určený pôvodne pre relatívne úzke a okrajové publikum, akým metalová subkultúra určite je, sa stal na spomínanej stanici jedným z najúspešnejších a prvá séria bola dokonca najsledovanejším programom Adult Swim vôbec (Švelch, 2008, s. 92). Ako mnoho iných seriálov, aj Metalocalypse je plný odkazov na rôzne kultúrne fenomény alebo javy a často „žmurká na diváka“. Je však pravdepodobné, že príjemca, ktorý nepozná metalovú scénu, bude o množstvo narážok ochudobnený. V príspevku rozoberáme najmä tieto odkazy, avšak nepo- všimnuté neostanú ani tie, ktoré dávajú zmysel aj mainstreamovému divákovi. 1.1 Stručný obsah seriálu Metalocalypse Hlavnými postavami Metalocalypse sú členovia death metalovej kapely Dethklok, okolo ktorých sa sústredí všetok dej seriálu. Sú kultúrnou veľmocou sveta, patria k najväčším ekonomickým moc- nostiam, no zároveň majú problémy s bežnými činnosťami každodenného života, ako napr. nakupo- vanie. Seriál je postavený na absurdite metalových klišé a je paródiou a zároveň oslavou metalového životného štýlu. 1.2 Groteska Seriál Metalocalypse patrí svojím scenárom (okrem iného) k žánru grotesky. Krátky slovník slo- venského jazyka označuje grotesku ako umelecký útvar s humoristickými, karikatúrnymi prvkami a situačnými zvratmi.
