Kľúčové slová: intertextualita, Metalocalypse, kultúrne odkazy 1 Úvod Na Slovensku nie príliš známy animovaný seriál Metalocalypse sa v Spojených štátoch americ- kých teší mimoriadnej obľube. Vysielaný je od roku 2006 na káblovej stanici Adult Swim. Doposiaľ vznikli štyri série a jeden strednometrážny televízny film, čo sa na prvý pohľad nemusí zdať veľa, avšak už teraz možno seriál označiť za kultový. Seriál určený pôvodne pre relatívne úzke a okrajové publikum, akým metalová subkultúra určite je, sa stal na spomínanej stanici jedným z najúspešnejších a prvá séria bola dokonca najsledovanejším programom Adult Swim vôbec (Švelch, 2008, s. 92). Ako mnoho iných seriálov, aj Metalocalypse je plný odkazov na rôzne kultúrne fenomény alebo javy a často „žmurká na diváka“. Je však pravdepodobné, že príjemca, ktorý nepozná metalovú scénu, bude o množstvo narážok ochudobnený.
